PURPOSE:To enable reforming cetalyzer poisoned by sulfur, etc., to be regenerated easily and carbon separated out on the reforming catalyzer, etc., to be removed easily. CONSTITUTION:An indirect reforming section 21 having a reforming catalyzer 8 is provided in a position communicated to a fuel gas flow path 20a facing to a fuel gas electrode 2. In this internally reformed type fuel cell, an openable/ closable gas releasing hole 24 is provided between the fuel gas flow path 20a and the indirect reforming section 21. When the oxidation and combustion gas E2 for regeneration of the catalyzer is allowed to flow into the indirect reform section 21 so as to delete sulfur, carbon, etc., deposited to the reforming catalyzer 8 of the indirect reforming section 21, the oxidation and combustion gas E2 after regeneration is led into the gas releasing hole to prevent the gas E2 from flowing into the fuel gas flow path 20a. |
