PURPOSE:To allow an indicating station to designate a time when picture information for a document for polling transmission is stored to a reception station. CONSTITUTION:An original storage section 4 receives and stores document information sent from a remote location as picture information 6 for polling transmission under the control of a main control section 1. A time storage section 3 receives and stores an erasure designation time sent simultaneously as the document information for polling transmission. When the time of a counter 2 counting a current time elapses more than the erasure designation time stored in the time storage section 3, the picture information 6 for polling transmission to be sent is erased.
