摘要 The fuel injection system has fuel injectors mounted on an inlet manifold downstream of a throttle valve (1). To assist the atomising of the fuel airflow, bypass ducts (4) connect each injector to an airflow ducted off the inlet manifold upstream of the throttle valve. Each bypass duct includes a flow control valve (5) linked to a processor controller (ECU) (17). The bypass ducts are only opened when the respective injector operates. The control valve is regulated by the processor wrt. crankshaft position and engine timing control. The bypass can be open for a controlled phase before and/or after the valve operation, to optimise engine performance. ADVANTAGE - Improved injection control, no excess airflow, improved engine speed control. No high idling speed after warming of engine.
