Spectrometer for materials investigation - attaches cylindrical cap contg. reference sample for calibration to sensor head using bayonet mounting

The spectrometer contains a sensor head connected to an evaluation device and receives optical spectral information of a material being investigated. A reference specimen (6) is located inside a cylindrical cap (5) which slides onto the sensor head (4) against an orientation stop (9) w.r.t. which it can be fixed. The cap is a cylindrical casing with a cylindrical closure part facing the spectrometer which encloses the casing and has a bayonet connection slot associated with a closure pin attached to the sensor head and which enables the closure part to be axially moved in the axial direction of the casing against the force of a spring. USE/ADVANTAGE - For material investigation, spectrometer enables simple and rapid connection to be made between sensor head and its cover whilst providing easy access to reference specimen.
