This invention intends to provide a simple and convenient method for making it possible to keep moisture content in a sliver constant, even when any variation in operation conditions or the like changes the state of zigzag running of the sliver in a tube, in a system to feed the sliver from a sliver aging room to a yarn spinning frame room through the tube, in which the sliver aging room (5) is disposed upstairs whereas a spinning frame room (1) downstairs in such manner that the sliver (8) laid in the aging room (5) is guided into the drafting unit (3) of the spinning frame installed in the spinning frame room (1) through the tube (10) communicating with said two rooms and, by setting the air pressure in the aging room (5) higher than that in the spinning frame room (1), air stream flows constantly downward through said tube (10) from the aging room (5) to the spinning frame room (1) and an air passing hole (9) having an adjustable opening damper (11) is provided between said aging room (5) and spinning frame room (1). |
