<p>A process and a device for monitoring and controlling a compressor (10) by measuring pressure fluctuations within at least one stage of the compressor (10) in the region of the housing (24) of the compressor (10) by means of at least one pressure sensing device (32), deriving a frequency signal which comprises at least one characteristic peak (70) in a region of a characteristic frequency assigned to one of the compressor stages (12, 14) and determining at least one peak parameter indicative of the operational status of the compressor (10), and generating a status change signal in case the peak parameter lies beyond a predetermined value range, which is used for controlling the compressor (10).</p> |
