Silo blockage prevention device - uses motor driven chain to maintain constant flow and prevent blockages and bridges forming in cone at bottom of silo

A flexible chain-like device (1) is fitted at the top of the silo (2) and hangs down in the direction of the outlet (3). It is driven in circular inclined movement by a motor drive (4). The chain end is always moved at the point where the greatest material flow is taking place. An arm (5) rotated by the motor drive moves the upper end of the chain in a horizontal circle, and the bottom end of the chain has a weight which ensures that this end hangs inside the outlet (3) at the bottom of the silo. USE/ADVANTAGE - The moving chain prevents the start of a material bridge in the conical bottom potion of a silo.
