<p>An insect killer comprises a U/V strip light (16) disposed within a slowly rotating cylindrical cage (10) which includes a pair of helically wound interleaved electrical conductors (18, 19) across which a 2.5 kV potential, capable of killing any insects which come into contact with conductors, is applied. Inwardly directed, static, elongate brushes (23, 24) are provided outside the cage which dislodge dead insects from the cage (10) as it rotates, thus minimising build-up of dead insects allowing less frequent cleaning.</p> |
