Tubular steel mast for overhead communications lines - has screw hook for line holders fitting through aligned holes in steel tube and stock bandage around outside of latter

The mast comprises a number of steel tubes, conically tapered in the direction of the top of the mast and of regular polygonal cross-section. The steel tubes are wrapped with a steel bandage (4) at the upper end of the mast, with corresponding holes receiving the threaded shaft of a screw hook (6) having a socket type adapter sleeve (13) between the bandage and the screw collar (6c). Pref. the screw is fitted with a washer (14) on the inside of the steel tube at one end the opposite end supporting the communications lines via intermediate holders (9a,9b). ADVANTAGE - Permanent fixing of screw hook to mast and improved rigidity at top of mast.
