BRAILLE DISPLAY UNIT

A braille display unit (2) comprises a digital numerical braille display (6) and an interface (3) for coupling the unit to an external device to provide a braille display responsive to the operation of the device. The display unit is controlled by an internal microprocessor and can provide a counter or timer display. It also incorporates a clock and can provide a stopwatch function. The display is arranged to show pairs of adjacent braille digits, the display for each digit (8, 10) being a square array of four braille dots.
