<p>Disclosed is a combined antenna and helicopter rotor blade (101). The antenna comprises one or more electrically non-conductive rotor blades (101), each having an electrical conductor (210, 310) positioned parallel to the major axis of a respective rotor blade (101). A connection means (410, 412, 510, 521, 620, 623) is provided to connect the antenna to apparatus for the reception or transmission of radio waves which is located in the fuselage (102).
