The toothed conveyor belt (5, 6, 7) is driven across corresp. gear wheels (12, 13, 14). The conveyor belt on its other side has slots (8) running parallel to each other, extending at right angles to the conveying direction. The slots (8) serve for the reception of the pencils (9). The pencils are conveyed by the respective drives of the consecutive processing machines (1, 2, 3), which include the three electric driving motors (15, 16, 17), designed as frequency controlled asynchronous motors, stepper motors or similar. The motors can be electronically synchronised as well as frequency synchronised. ADVANTAGE - Designed so that maintenance work can be eliminated, with facility of noise and dust reducing cover, to give selected interference free transport.
