摘要 The roll and pitch movements of the ship are measured by a position sensor rigidly mounted on the ship and compared with empirical values according to prevailing conditions. A desired frequency spectrum for an intact ship and corresp. to the prevailing conditions is extracted from the measured values and stored. The actual frequency spectrum is determined at defined time intervals from the measured roll, pitch and yaw values. The actual spectrum is compared with the desired spectrum. The stored spectrum is update when the prevailing conditions change. The trim is altered when a threshold value is exceeded. USE/ADVANTAGE - For optimal operation of ships. Optimal trimming is reliably achieved for all possible prevailing conditions. Indicates water intake and buoyancy.
