PURPOSE: To supply the improved screen device used in a continuous ink jet printing head catcher device to be improved in the control of ink caught as a result. CONSTITUTION: The catcher device 18 for an ink jet printing head is arranged at the characteristic shape part in a catcher opening part 22 to be supplied. The mesh screen 48 of a catcher acting so as to send caught ink into the catcher opening part 22 and the mesh insertion part 51 resisting the compression of the mesh screen 48 without generating inadvantageous action on the flow of ink in the catcher opening part are definitely arranged to the catcher opening part 22.
