摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the amt. of metastable Fe16N2 phase to be formed and to enhance the saturation density by crushing an Fe-N flaky powder, in which a metastable Fe16N2 phase is deposited by specified treatment, with high energy. CONSTITUTION:A pure-iron thin strip having an aggregate structure and in which a (100) crystal face is-accumulated in parallel to the plate surface is-heat- treated at 500 deg.C, for example, and then rapidly cooled to room temp. to cause nitrogen to enter into solid soln. The product is then annealed at a lower temp. of 250 deg.C, for example, which is lower than the heat-treating temp. to produce an Fe-N thin strip in which a metastable Fe16N2 phase is deposited. The thin strip is then crushed or cut to obtain the flaky powder. The powder is crushed with high energy in a nitrogen-contg. atmosphere to increase the amt. of metastable Fe16N2 phase to be formed.
