PURPOSE: To obtain a novel dye capable of being used for a thermal dye sublimation transfer print by forming the dye of a material having a specific structure in a dye donor material used for a thermal dye sublimation transfer containing a support having a dye layer containing a dye dispersed in a polymer binder. CONSTITUTION: In the dye donor material used for a thermal dye sublimation transfer comprising a support having a dye layer containing a dye dispersed in a polymer binder, the dye corresponds to a formula I, wherein R<1> to R<3> are each H, halogen, nitro, or alkyl group, B is a formula II or the like, R<4> is H, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group or the like, R<5> is H, halogen, nitro or the like, R<6> and R<6> ↑' are each alkyl group, aryl group or the like, R<7> is alkyl group, aryl group or the like, R<8> and R<9> are each H, alkyl group or the like, R<10> and R<11> are each alkyl group, aryl group, or the like, K is a formula III, R<12> and R<13> are each H, alkyl group or the like, R<14> to R<17> are each H, hydroxy, halogen or the line, and R is alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group or the like. |
