PURPOSE:To achieve higher resolutions in the direction of a slicing thickness without prolonging the time of reproducing images in a helical scan type CT apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A bed top board 16a where a subject is placed is moved continuously while the subject undergoes a spiral scanning (helical scanning) by rotating an X-ray tube 10 continuously about the subject. A helical scan projection data thus obtained and a reverse function of a slice profile function of the helical scanning are subjected to convolution to determine a projection data corresponding to 360 deg. at a certain slicing position by interpolation. Thereafter, a reconstructing computation is performed to reproduce an tomographic image of a specified slice. |
