PURPOSE:To provide a forming method of the corner part of a weatherstrip, in which no mandrel inserting hole is necessary to be opened, which has favorable external appearance and the inserting and removing workability of the mandrel in and from which is good. CONSTITUTION:The forming process of the corner part of a weatherstrip consists of a process, in which external force is applied under the condition that a Teflong center mandrel 20 having the sectional form nearly same as that of a hollow sealing part 11 is inserted in the hollow sealing part 11 of the weatherstrip 10 made of elastic body from its open end so as to bend both the hollow sealing part 11 and the center mandrel 20, a process, in which the weatherstrip 10 and center mandrel 20 bent together is charged in a mold and then pressurized and heated so as to fix the bending of the weatherstrip 10, and a process, in which the molds are opened and the center mandrel 20 is removed. |
