A single-layer, transparent, biaxially oriented, heat-set, tubular food casing, in particular artificial sausage casing, based on polyamide is described. It essentially contains a mixture of a) a linear, aliphatic polyamide and b) a partly aromatic copolyamide and c) an acid-modified polyolefin and d) a pigment of a partical size from 0.01 to 15 mu m. A process for producing the food casing and its use are also described. |
