PURPOSE:To maintain a temperature of a cooling medium at a suitable value by providing a cooling pipe which has a top opening to allow overflow of the medium and having a cable run through the pipe of a cooling system which cools insulating materials, etc., of a CV cable after having been extrusion-coated and the materials have been crosslinked. CONSTITUTION:A conductor which is rolled out from a drum is extrusion-coated with resin at the time of passing a crosshead and heated by a heating section and crosslinked and become a cable core 1. In order to cool the core 1, it is made to pass through a cooling pipe 41 which contains a cooling medium 43 inside. The cooling pipe 41 is surrounded by a guide pipe 44 which has a larger diameter, and filled with nitrogen. The cooling medium 43 overflowing from the cooling pipe 41 flows down the space between the guide pipe 44 and the pipe 41, is drained out from a drain 46 via a drain adjusting valve 47. Cooling medium pumped up from a water tank 50 by a pump 51 is supplied to the cooling pipe 41 via a supply adjusting valve 52. |
