PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the subject hormone, excellent in culturing of flounders and useful in the field of fisheries by culturing Bacillus.brevis holding a flounder growth hormonal gene, accumulating and collecting the resultant hormone. CONSTITUTION:Bacillus.brevis such as Bacillus.brevis H102 (FERM BP-1087) holding a flounder growth hormonal gene is cultured to produce and accumulate the flounder growth hormone, which is then collected to afford the objective hormone.
