The treatment of racemic calcium folinate with a sodium salt of ethylendiaminotetraacetic acid and, preferably, calcium chloride determines the separation of a precipitate, whose mother liquors result enriched in a calcium salt of the levofolinic acid, purifiable through repeated crystallizations.
