PURPOSE:To improve workability of applying an operation thread on a suture needle by automatizing of work of delivering the operation thread from a bobbin to insert the tip part of the operation thread into a hole part of the suture needle aligned with an insertion guide mechanism while caulking the operation thread on the suture needle. CONSTITUTION:An operation thread S is delivered from a bobbin 4 and sent to a feed roller 8 through a disinfection container 5, a sponge 6 for wiping a disinfection liquid and a tubule-shaped heater 7 to correct a habitual bent of the operation thread S. Then, the thread is sent into a first guide part 3 via a second guide part 9 to be inserted into a hole part Nb of a suture needle N so positioned that a rear end part Na thereof matches the tip part 3a of the first guide part 3 together with work W. Under such a condition, dies 1a-1d are moved from top and bottom and left and right to caulk the rear end part Na of the suture needle N from four directions. The guide part 3 and the suture needle N are made to align by being pinched with a double-split positioning mechanism 11 and the positioning mechanism 11 is retreated during the caulking. |
