A manually drawn device by means of which a log can be gripped, lifted and moved, comprising a two-wheeled trestle 1 provided with a pull bar, on which trestle a pair of gripper tongs 2 is suspended from two pins 3 which are connected by means of a shaft 4 mounted horizontally on the trestle. Through the use of the pull bar, the tongs 2 are manoeuvred into a gripping position, after which the load, using the pull bar as a lever, is lifted into the transport position. The principal use is within forestry, preferably in the collection of fuel wood, pulp wood and sawing timber in territory in which forest machinery, for various reasons, cannot be used. <IMAGE> |
