In repairing a thermoplastic unit or article, to restore its original visual and solid state, the article is welded, glued or reshaped, and ground, followed by (a) application and drying of a prod. (A), (b) application, hardening and grinding of a prod. (B), (c) application of a prod. (C) onto the ground scratches, and drying, (d) application, hardening and grinding of a prod. (D, (e) application of prod. (C) to (part of) the article, and drying, and (f) painting. Pref. after welding, gluing or reshaping the article, a modified thermoplastic single component acrylic varnish, drying in 0.5-15 h (6 h) is applied. Application of prod. (A) is followed by application of a modified thermoplastic polyester coating, drying in 1 min.-3 h(15 mins.) before being ground with an abrasive of grain size 20-600 (100). USE/ADVANTAGE - Application is in industry, e.g. in vehicle repairs. Imperfections are completely covered.
