The equipment issued to grip and raise articles. It uses an assembly of rods (2, 6, 8) with a gripping head (4) and a support frame (1). When the first rod (2) is stationary against a first stop (10) the rods form a quadrilateral shape that can be moved to orientate the gripping head about a first axis (5). When the second rod (8) is in contact with a second stop (12) the moving parts form a parallelogram. This allows the gripping head to be moved without changing its orientation. A single actuator controls the two movements.
