The applicator consists of a sealed and supple container, pref. of a plastic which is either sterile or sterilisable, equipped with a calibrated outlet (12). The container has a cylindrical outer wall (3) and two conical bases (4,5) fitted with their tips facing one another. The first of these bases (4) is equipped with the calibrated outlet and has a rounded outer edge to fir round the eye. The other base (5) has a piston (18) at its end to expel the droplets through the outlet when the outer wall of the container is compressed. The outer ends (9,15) of the two conical bases can lie parallel to one another or be at different angles, so that the outlet (12) is offset relative to the centre of the first base (9). ADVANTAGE - Ensures precise volume of applied droplets while avoiding any contact between applicator and cornea.
