The system has a conveyor (7), a video image acquisition unit (161) and a video image processor and analyser (190), together with a carcass cutting unit (9,10). The conveyer has a number of moving plates (19) to which the carcass is fixed. On each plate (19) is a frame (167) for observing the carcass. Each plate includes along a central extension (22) two adjacent leg clamps (23,24)at one end and two leg clamps (25,26) at the other end. USE/ADVANTAGE - Designed to cut up small size animal carcasses with precision whatever their morphology or configuration.
