The invention relates to a process for the aromatisation of hydrocarbons comprising from 2 to 4 carbon atoms per molecule in the presence of a composite catalyst which contains: - a zeolite of MFI structure in the hydrogen form, containing, in its skeleton, at least the elements silicon, aluminium and/or gallium, - a matrix, - at least one noble metal of the platinum family, at least one additional metal chosen from the group consisting of tin, germanium, indium, copper, iron, molybdenum, gallium, thallium, gold, silver, ruthenium, chromium, tungsten and lead, - at least one halogen chosen from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine, - optionally at least one doping element chosen from the group consisting of gallium and zinc, - and optionally at least one element chosen from the group consisting of alkali and alkaline-earth metals. |
