<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out the continuous treatment of a carbon material in a large amount while preventing the energy cost from increasing and air pollution from occurring by effectively utilizing waste heat. CONSTITUTION:This carbonizer is equipped with a carbonization furnace 1 for carrying out the carbonizing treatment of a carbon material, a feeding means 2 for the carbon material, a preheating means 3 for preheating the carbon material before feeding into the carbonization furnace and performing the drying treatment, an afterburner 38 for carrying out the burning treatment of carbonized gases generated by the carbonizing treatment and a conveying cylindrical part 18 for conveying the carbon material to the feeding means. The preheating means is provided with a preheating duct 25, extending in the conveying direction of the carbon material of the conveying cylindrical part and filling a preheating medium therein and a preheating medium feed pipe 26, having one end connected to the preheating duct and the other end connected to an outlet part (38a) of waste gases generated by burning in the afterburner 38 and feeding the waste gases as the preheating medium to the preheating duct.</p> |
