<p>PURPOSE:To completely burn and remove even particulate left in an end face or the like of a filter by reversing a flow direction of combustion improving gas in the filter, in the case of heating the particulate, collected to the filter, and also burning this particulate by the combustion improving gas. CONSTITUTION:A filter 19 for collecting particulate in exhaust gas is stored in heating space 18 arranged in an exhaust pipe 16 of an internal combustion engine 17. In order to regenerate the filter 19, a heating means 20, formed of a microwave generating means or the like, for heating the collected particulate is provided to appear in the heating section 18. Further in order to promote combustion of the heated particulate, a combustion improving means 23, formed of a blower or the like for supplying combustion improving gas contained with oxygen, is additionally provided in the heating space 18. In order to reverse a flow direction of the combustion improving gas in the filter 19 at combustion time of the particulate, based on a detection signal of a combustion improving gas temperature detecting means 32, an exhaust gas flow control valve 31 is closed by a control part 33.</p> |
