PURPOSE:To obtain a recording sheet ink jet printer having superior ink absorption properties for forming a recording image improved in sharpness and shelf stability by a method wherein an ink accepting layer containing a crystalline cellulose as a main component is provided on at least one surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An ink accepting layer containing a crystalline cellulose as a main component is provided on at least one surface of a substrate. The crystalline cellulose is preferably contained in the amount of 5-100wt.% in the total solid content of the ink accepting layer. The thickness of the ink accepting layer is preferably the order of 1-20mum. As a result, a high-quality recording sheet exhibits superior ink absorption properties to have ink fixing properties so improved that recorded ink cannot adhere to a finger in touch with the ink and also good shelf stability (free from blocking), thus forming a recording image of an ideal image quality without ink bleeding. |
