PURPOSE:To prevent a speed change from being returned to an original speed change stage immediately after an up or down speed change while rapidly performing a necessary speed change in an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:A moderate change throttle valve opening degree signal TVOb is produced by moderating a change of a real throttle valve opening degree signal TVOa. A pseudo throttle valve opening degree signal TVO' is produced, which is changed at the time when a deviation between the moderate change throttle valve opening degree signal TVOb and the real throttle valve opening degree signal TVOa is lower than a predetermined value K. Namely, the pseudo throttle valve opening degree signal TVO' is changed when the real throttle valve opening degree signal TVOa becomes stable. In such a state where a speed is returned to the original speed change stage transversing a speed change line after a speed is changed up or down transversely to the speed change line according to a change of the throttle valve opening degree, as viewed in Figure showing the speed change line, a speed change is controlled by using the pseudo throttle valve opening degree signal TVO' on the basis of the speed change line. |
