The invention concerns a pharmaceutical structure wherein immunoactive substances e.g., haptens or immunogenic (immunostimulatory) substances are bound to a protein carrier. To achieve exactly definable binding sites for the immunoactive substances, the protein carrier is formed from protein or protein-containing molecules assembled in crystalline or para-crystalline assays which may be cross-linked if so desired.
