PURPOSE:To prevent a drying operation from being suspended even if a zero cross signal is not detected, in the case a motor driving a drum is subjected to phase control. CONSTITUTION:A control part compares the speed of revolution stored in a RAM with the speed of revolution detected by a revolution speed sensor by an arithmetic part, and decides an increase or decrease tendency of the speed of revolution from its difference. Whenever a zero cross signal is detected by a zero cross detecting circuit, the speed of revolution is controlled by adjusting a phase of a power source supplied to a motor based on a result of decision. On the other hand, when there is no output of the zero cross signal for a prescribed period due to a certain cause (S10), the control part drives the motor without adjusting the phase (S27).
