Calcium phosphate crystal particles are formed electrochemically and continuously on a conductive conveyor belt, passing through an electrolyte containing Ca- and P- bearing ions. A sufficient cathodic current is passed through the electrolyte to the conveyor belt, which results in nucleation and crystallization of calcium phosphate crystals on the conveying belt. Calcium phosphate crystals, formed on the conveying belt, are continuously washed, dried and removed from the conveying belt. The process of this invention permits continuous production of calcium phosphate crystal particles at a high rate and in a commercially viable manner.
