PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of the device stated in the title for use in a vehicle by causing each pinion gear to have one end engaged in a circular opening provided in a case and have the other end supported to a holed wall and projected at its edge from a hole, and movably fitting each pinion gear into the circular hole at the overall periphery of the addendum circle thereof. CONSTITUTION:A differential case 3 comprises a cylindrical intermediate portion 3a and a cover 3b and is built in coaxial with side gears 7, 9. Pinion gears 27, 29 which mesh with the respective side gears 7, 9 are also built in The pinion gears 27, 29 are disposed inside respective cylindrical openings 31, 33 formed in the differential case 3 and each have one end projected from the opening 31, 33 and the other end abut a wall 31a, 33a at the depth of the opening 31, 33 and supported so that the gears 27, 29 are movably fitted and supported in the respective openings at the addendum circles thereof. In such a constitution the pinion gears 27, 29 take in lubricating oil outside the case 3 for themselves by means of rotation and supply the oil into the respective openings 31, 33 along their teeth to lubricate gears.
