PURPOSE: To provide an endoscope (e.g. arthroscope) with an internal light source, which can generate an image equal to that of an endoscope having the external light source and is formed to minimize transmission of light from the internal light source and heat generated by the internal light source. CONSTITUTION: This endoscope comprises main components of a housing 30, a disposable scope assembly 32 including a scope 38 detachably connected to the housing and illuminating fiber, an internal light source 35 including a light bulb 36 mounted in the housing communicating with the illuminating fiber, and a light transmission device 39 to transmit light from the internal light source to the illuminating fiber, and is also equipped with a device to radiate heat generated by the internal light source. |
