PURPOSE:To print characters input under the state, in which the characters are balanced as a whole to a postcard, in response to the number of characters printed in a recipient name column by printing the characters input on the basis of the position of printing start, character intervals and the printing-region information of a storage section. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 30 monitors a detecting signal from a sheet sensor 19, and decides whether or not a postcard is inserted and fed accurately according to the input of a signal detecting one side of the postcard. Printing-region information at every item allocated on the surface of the postcard, printing- region information on the back of the postcard, etc., are stored in a storage section 31 besides a program controlling the operation of the whole device such as edition, printing, etc., a dictionary memory for converting a Japanese syllabary, a Chinese character, etc. A character size table, on which character size printed is specified previously, a character array table, etc., are also stored. |
