PURPOSE:To occasionally change the DTD description information during an input job of a document by supporting the editing job of the DTD description information in an SGML document editing state and then generating a new DTD description file based on the edited DTD description information. CONSTITUTION:When the tags evolved on a screen during an input job of a document must be deleted or added, a DTD editing part 2 is called out of a working SGML editing part 1 and then started while the part 1 is working. In other words, the part 2 is started without completing the working of the part 1 and just in an inactivated state of the part 1. Thus, the editing subject is changed to the DTD description information 110 from an SGML document. When the necessary correcting operations are completed to the information 110, the working of the part 2 is finished. Therefore, the part 1 is activated again and the original editing mode of the SGML document is restored. |
