PURPOSE:To provide a character processor which can be easily operated and can process the specific KANJI (Chinese characters) as HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) by using a means which keeps the word information on a KANA (Japanese syllabary) form and a means which converts the KANJI into the input KANA. CONSTITUTION:A designating means 1000 designates the KANJI to be kept in a KANA form in the KANJI string that is not stored in a character storage means 500. A 2nd character processing means 1100 converts the designated KANJI into the input KANA. A hardness degree information storage means 2000 stores the information showing the hardness degrees of KANJI correlating each KANJI. A pointing means 2100 points the KANJI to be kept in the KANA form in the KANJI string that is not stored in the means 500 yet with designation of a range of hardness degrees. A 1st character processing means 2200 detects the KANJI included in the range of hardness degrees designated by the means 2100 out of the KANJI string that is not stored in the means 500 yet based on the information stored in the means 2000. Then, the character processing means 1100 as the second character processing means converts the detected KANJI into the input KANA. |
