<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a LAN station that is suitable for a single channel radio transmission link. CONSTITUTION: A local area network LAN 12 includes a transceiver 20 which transmits and receives through a radio communication link. The transceiver 20 is connected to a CSMA/CDLAN controller 22 and a signal generating circuit 40 that is connected to the controller 22. If a station 12 wants to transmit a data frame, and when a carrier sensing signal CRS instructs that a link is occupied, the transmission of the data frame is delayed, after the signal CRS becomes inactive, a collision is imitatively produced by the circuit 40, a collision detection signal CDT signal is given to the LAN controller 22, the controller 22 becomes a back-off-mode and the transmission of the frame is tried again after a certain random back-off-time passes. In this way, a CSMA/CD chip on the market is used for a single radio channel LAN environment and the risk of a collision is suppressed down.</p> |
