<p>PURPOSE:To accurately grasp contamination of water in a region where concentration of microorganism is low and to predict variation thereof by concentrating floating substances in automatically sampled water, processing the image of turbid water, and then calculating features thereof. CONSTITUTION:A sampler 2 samples water stored in a closed region 1 which is then introduced to a condenser 3 where suspensoid is condensed. Condensed liquid is introduced from the condenser 3 to an imaging unit 4 incorporating a television camera where the image of the condensed liquid is converted into electrical signals (image signals). The image signals are inputted to an image processor 5 where images of suspensoid and phytoplankton are processed and extracted. A computor 8 delivers an image take-in command based on image information received from the image processor 5 thus controlling operation of the imaging unit 4. The computor 8 receives image information from the image processor 5, weather information from a weather information measuring unit 7, and water quality information from a water quality measuring unit 6 continuously thus monitoring contamination of water region.</p> |
