PURPOSE:To eliminate the inversion of the signs of X and Y coordinate values during arithmetic operation and to facilitate the arithmetic processing by dividing an arc without including different quadrants and performing the arithmetic processing. CONSTITUTION:The arc is divided without including quadrants which differ in X-Y corrdinates. In the 1st quadrant, the X coordinates and Y coordinates are both plus and in the 3rd quadrant, the X coordinates and Y coordinates are both minus; and in the 4th quadrant, the Y coordinates or X coordinates are minus. For the purpose, the arc 11 is rotated on its center so as to move into the 1st puadrant. Then the arc is divided without crossing a straight line Y=X or Y=-X and interpolating operation is performed in the area where the highest print quality is obtained. Coordinate data obtained by the interpolating operation are reconverted into the state before the coordinate transformation and arrangement transformation of the figure. Thus, coordinate data on the original arc are obtained. |
