PURPOSE:To detect the failure of a dial shift switch quickly without forming an output circuit of the combination signal, which consists of the combination of four signals to be output from a dial shift switch, into a double system in the case where the combination signal is changed in order. CONSTITUTION:The comparison data cd1 in the transition stage st1 of the combination signal is made previously. The comparison data cd1 shows one of the number of the signals under the High condition among the combination signals after the transition, which are specified by two as the number of signals under the High condition of the combination signals before the transition. At the transition stage st1 of the combination signal, the number of signals under the High condition among the combination signals after the transition is compared with one of the numbers, which are showed by the comparison data cd1, (step S2), and in the case where the number of the signals under the High condition is not one, the generation of failure of the dial shift switch is judged (step S4). |
