PURPOSE: To make it possible to execute multicolor proofing without distorting an image by executing the multicolor proofing by using a recording material consisting of a sheet-like layer base, a thermally transferable layer contg. coloring agents and a radiation sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION: The multicolor proofing of four primary colors from the recording material is executed by the following stages : (1) The colored film of the primary color 1 is exposed to project the image and (2) the exposed layer C is developed to expose the area of B complementary with the remaining image layer (=C') of C. (3) The coating side of the recording material prepd. in such a manner is brought into contact with an image receptor D and heat and pressure are applied thereon to transfer the area exposed on the surface of B to the image receptor D and to allow the area C' and the area of B existing thereunder to remain on the temporally base A. (4) The stages 1 to 3 are repeated by using the colored films of the primary colors 2, 3, 4. (5) Heat and pressure are then applied thereon to transfer the entire part of the color proofing to the permanent image receptor E, by which the color proofing correctly aligned with the film masks at the right and the left is formed on E. |
