PURPOSE:To obtain a radio wave-correcting timepiece which can be corrected in a shorter time. CONSTITUTION:A time information fetching means 4 starts the fetching of time information transmitted through radio waves at regular time intervals upon starting the reception of the radio waves or receiving the first time information after starting the reception and a reception control means 7 controls a receiving means 3 to terminate receiving operations when the means 4 fetches the minimum amount of time information necessary for calculating the present time. A time calculating means 8 calculates the present time based on the fetched time information and a displaying means 2 corrects displayed time by using the calculated present time. |
