PURPOSE:To optimally position a center of a light emitting region even when a center of a protrusion is different by making a light emitting element emit light, obtaining a center of the region, and moving a spherical lens to the center of the region. CONSTITUTION:A spherical lens 3 is formed of a transparent material for a light emitted from a light emitting element and placed on a light emitting surface of a light emitting element chip 1. Four protrusions 5 are formed on the emitting surface. Current is conducted to the chip 1 to emit a light from a light emitting region, it is observed by a television camera from above to obtain an optical image, to process the image, and to obtain a light emitting center in coordinates fixed to the chip. Then, after the surface including the protrusions is coated with adhesive 6, the lens 3 is conveyed by a chuck, and placed thereon. Then, the chip 1 is inclined together with a support base, and a deviation (s) is equalized to the light emitting center of a moving distance (q). Thus, a mulfunction can be prevented. |
