PURPOSE:To prevent illegal use of a portable telephone set in an excellent way. CONSTITUTION:The radio telephone set formed to be a terminal station making radio communication with a base station is provided with an input section 32 reading data from a prescribed medium 31 to be loaded, check means 37, 38, 39 checking a prescribed circuit in the radio telephone set, comparator means 34, 35, 36 comparing the value obtained through the check by the check means 37, 38, 39 with a value obtained from the medium 31 loaded to the input section 32 and an operating setting means 20 making the use of radio communication available when the coincidence is detected by the comparator means 34, 35, 36.
