The goods lift has a mobile platform (3) which is attached to the lift cabin (5). The two are connected in the classic arrangement and the platform carries the drive and control machinery (25,27). It is also attached to at least a portion of the lift housing (2). This forms the upper extremity for the working area for the lift. The cabin is connected to a balancing counterweight (7). The attachment points (15) to the lift housing are movable, enabling them to be fixed in place for operation of the lift or released to enable movement of the platform to a higher level. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reduces use of cranes during construction work.
